My grandma said I could try this, my name choice is Massey because cows and tractorsm are what makes me want to farm someday on my family farm. I love red tractors (not the green ones)

Mary the Marathon County Cow. The Mar- portion references Mar-athon County, and it sounds like “merry” because happy cows come from Marathon County! It also is quick and catchy with good alliteration to make it easy to remember.

  • Marabelle

Named as being the “Belle of Marathon County”. Should come with a pink ribbon and a pink cow bell around her neck. And if you don’t know what a “Belle” is, you obviously have not spent enough time around beautiful ladies. Bill Miller 2201 Fern Lane Wausau (Rib Mountain), WI 5440

I think it is important for people to realize that we are all connected to agriculture, whether we are on the farm or we just are eating the food produced. As part of Marathon County Agriculture, we could consider ourselves "M-Aggies," a fitting name for the cow that is aimed to promote agriculture, particularly dairy, across Marathon County. It also serves as a reminder that agriculture is a part of everything we do, from the clothes we wear to the food we eat to the fuel that drives us around.

  • Michelle

In honor of the late Michelle Mielke, I am submitting the name "Michelle". Michelle was a member of the PPA Ed/Promo Committee, strong advocate for the dairy industry and a dairy farmer. Her passion for agriculture education led her to be a driving force in the creation of the Ag Adventure Tent. She was a generous and kind soul who always had a smile to share.. She shared her talents, passions and her time with our organization and she would humbled by this tribute.

  • Journey

Journey signifies the journey agriculture is and has been on throughout Marathon County. It also signifies the journey the incredible milking cow will take as she educates and entertains our county.
